Wednesday, May 23 through 26: Circus Baobab Makes its U.S. debut as part of 4th Annual San Francisco International Arts Festival. The globe-trotting French trained, Guinean nouveau cirque company, Circus Baobab, will make its exclusive U.S. debut at SFIAF 2008 performing their acrobatically astounding show, The Jumping Drums, at San Francisco’s Project Artaud Theatre, 450 Florida Street. Dates are Wednesday, May 23 at 5:30 p.m., Thursday, May 24 at 7 p.m. (this performance in French), Friday, May 25 at 7 p.m., and Saturday, May 26 at 2 p.m. and 8 p.m. Tickets are $30. Theatre Rhinoceros presents its world premiere of Nicky Silver’s new comedy “Past Perfect” begining Thursday, April 19. Directed by John Dixon, this brutal comedy is sure to shock and amuse. Past Perfect conveys buried resentments and family secrets spilled out all over the place as the children and their mother grasp for what seems to be a last chance at happiness in the wake of their father’s death. Performances are Wed-Sat at 8 p.m., Sunday April 22 at 7 p.m., and Sunday matinees on April 29, May 6 and May 13 at 3 p.m. Show runs through Sunday, May 20. Tickets are $15-25. Opening night is $35. Sunday, March 25: Artists' Television Access presents a folk rock special performance by Jason Anderson and Golden Boots on Sunday, March 25. Jason Anderson performs uplifting folk rock while touring Tilly and the Wall, David Dondero, and as a member of Mount Eerie/the Microphones. Golden Boots performs Country jangle from Tucson that is compelling in its melody and weirdness. Old time friends with Dr. Dog. Tourmates to Calvin Johnson and Little Wings.
