Saturday, October 20: Precita Eyes Mural Arts Center hosts its 30th Anniversary Gala Benefit on Saturday, October 20, 6-10 p.m. The benefit celebrates 30 years (1977-2007) of Community Mural Art at Project Artuad, 499 Alabama Street (between 17th street & Mariposa). Wednesday September 26: The Mission Cultural Center for Latino Arts presents a retrospective exhibition of the fine artwork of Calixto Robles "Creating New Roots" through September 28. Calixto Robles will give a free walk-through tour Wednesday, September 26 6-7 p.m. Curated by Juan R. Fuentes Exhibition Curator, the exhibition includes paintings, posters, prints and ceramics. Originally from Oaxaca, Mexico, Calixto has been connected to Mission Grâfica since 1988, as an artist and instructor. Admission is $5.00.
