Board of Supes Pass Pot Bill Plot

On the afternoon of Tuesday, Nov. 15, the supes rapidly passed an amended version of Ross Mirkarimi’s “medical cannabis” bill, on a vote of 9 to 0. Sean Elsbernd was away on his honeymoon, and Gerardo Sandoval was absent from the chamber, although present for earlier votes.

Daly to Mirkarimi: Check!

On Oct. 25, Chris Daly succeeded in blocking the supes from voting on Ross Mirkarimi’s “medical marijuana” bill. In Daly’s view, the bill puts too many restrictions on pot outlets. The earliest the supes can take up the measure again is Nov. 15.
