Attention AT&T Customers!
Mission Blogger Nov 02, 2007
OK my friends. Did you know that if you are behind with your AT&T telephone bill you are being charged $5 plus 1.5 percent? This charge applies even if you are late one day — meaning after AT&T’s closes for the day? And did you also know that they limit your plan and services? So know don’t wonder why your Internet Service begins faltering, or when you cannot call mom who lives outside the state.
My Experience at Wag Hotel was Horrible
Sep 18, 2007
I took my dog to Wag Hotel for 5 days. Will never leave him with Wag Hotel (again). We got the worst service possible. They lost his collar, leash and his tags. We got him a room with a camera just to watch him. We saw that all day would go by without playtime or food and even without a walk that I payed for. It was the worst experience I have ever had.
Dear Editor:
Arresting Syringe Possessors is a Waste of Taxes Jul 16, 2007
I noticed with some frustration the Mission Station Crime Log piece titled 'Possession of hypodermic syringes', in which it is reported that a man was arrested for possessing syringes. This seems to me to be an awful case of the left hand not knowing what the right hand is doing. The City of San Francisco funds needle exchange because it is a well-proven way of reducing HIV transmission among drug users, and a well-proven method for reducing the number of needles dumped on the streets by the more idiotic drug users. We, the citizens of San Francisco, pay for this pragmatic public health program through our taxes.
To the Editor of the Mission Dispatch and its Readers:
Suzanne Walterich Jun 11, 2007
In response to the vitriolic letter written by Misha Olivas in response to the article in March 2007 concerning Ruben Raul Guzman, may I reply by saying that I, Suzanne Walterich aka Susana Guzman, know of Misha, am aware she is Ruben’s cousin (not his niece as the front page of the May issue stated), however I do not know Ms. Olivas personally. Although Ruben and I did live next door to her family, not once was she a visitor to our home. The only exchange I have ever had with Ms. Olivas was a simple hello or maybe a wave of the hand.
The Mission to Get New Park: Potrero del Sol
By Tom Ammiano, D9 Supervisor May 21, 2007
On May 4th, 2007, at 3:30 PM, a ground-breaking ceremony will take place to celebrate the groundbreaking of La Raza/Potrero del Sol Park, signifying that the community vision for Potrero del Sol Park has become a reality. The community saw the potential for making a space where the extended families of the Mission, gardeners, students and skaters, would all be drawn to the park by the added and improved facilities. Where before, there was mostly unused park land, now families and groups can come together at the 4.5 acre park, a large grassy area to play soccer, skateboard, entertain, picnic, let children play, garden and enjoy each other’s company.
