San Francisco International Festival of Short Films

The 3rd annual San Francisco International Festival of Short Films will be August 6 to 9 at the Victoria Theater and Red Vic Movie House. The festival, is directed by Michael Coyne, short filmmaker and design instructor at Miami Ad School and by James Kenney, professor of graphic design and media arts at California College of the Arts. The festival includes 54 films over a three-day period. Half of the films are from outside the U.S.

'The Sister Of Significant Suffering 2'

The festival features seven programs, each about 85 minutes long, of short films:
Program #1: Bang for Your Buck
A program of funny films about innocence, animals, and friends.

Program #2: Is It Worth It?
A program of films about work, money, values, and respect.

Program #3: The Fine Line
A program of films about allure and sacrifice.

Program #4: Family Values
A program of films about the opportunities and challenges of family.

Program #5: Beginning, Middle, Disaster
A program of films of beginnings, ends, and delusions.

Program #6: You Might Just Get It
A program of quirky films about appearances and destiny.

Program #7: Hubris and Humility
A program of films about loss of control.
